The Deluge
That very day all the springs of the great deep broke through. Gen.7:11 Jerusalem Bible
I thought maybe God broke his bow (rainbow) and decided it was the end...the success of the dinner and dance would not be possible without the group of dedicated and selfless individuals who I'd like to thank for making that day such a success. First I'd like to thank Eslyn Daniel for giving us her years of experience, and providing training for the crew, Helen Charles for using her home, Wendy Kelly for the beautiful venue, Andrea Bajnath for the menu, the service crew, Michelle Western, Sasha Phips, Dale-Marie Clyne, Asa Reyes, Maureen Torres, Sandra Francis, Kerlan Francette, Mark Ransom, the barmen Dexter Ravello and Earl Providence, center pieces Michael Joseph, Caroline LeeYing for the Coquito experience, the cooks Maureen Lee Ying, Marilyn Roban, Helen Charles, Georgina Knights, the drivers, Frankie Pierre, Mitchum Morris, Sasha Phips, Lester and Carol Ravello for their continued support, but most of all thanks to Jehovah for this most testing, daunting and challenging experience. Proverbs 17:17 says, a true friend shows love at all times, and is a brother who is born for times of distress.

Living
All actions have consequences and we must be prepared to face them, whatever they may be. This is not the easiest thing, because it can be extremely difficult to face painful things, especially due to your actions. That which is good and upright is at critical times most difficult!

Cleanup principle
I have this app called avast cleanup, and I think it's fantastic, so simple to use and takes the stress away from having to go through your whole phone just to find deletable data. If only avast had a maid service to do the same for my home! Technically it's so simple because the principle is the same universally. What takes up most space? What haven't you used in a long while? What takes up little space and haven't used in a while? Can you archive it or dump it? ........Avast cleanup my house!

People,people,people
We are molded by our genetics, our upbringing, our beliefs, all our experiences. Some of us learn from what we hear, some from what we see and some only learn by actually experiencing, what we call 'burn to learn'. My understanding of sympathy is someone seeing you in pain and saying "wow that must hurt!" Whereas empathy is someone saying "ow! That hurts!" When they see you in pain. It is understandable when someone has never experienced your situation and says"don't focus on your problem, just get up and walk, you don't need legs!"but when someone who lost a finger says"you need to keep holding on and don't let go", to someone missing a hand! well, what can you say to that? Can't we think? Can't we at least sympathise? Is that the best encouragement we can come up with? .....someone said to me once that saying "it could be worse" doesn't help. I think it's supposed to bring it into perspective when your hand is hurting and you see someone without hands struggling to live! It doesn't make the pain go away, it's not supposed to! You're supposed to try harder, get inspired, feel ashamed not continue to moan about how much pain you're in and sit there and do nothing! Sometimes we want to cut off the hand but even without the hand we may continue to have the pain, and we don't have a hand now to do anything with.....something to think about

The technological age
My camera has been malfunctioning and I am seriously considering using my phone to do some short video interviews. Not having the exposure and focus control of my camera has me anxious but the ability to immediately upload short video has me excited. Real meaningful, substantial video that concerns people can be released with little effort, especially if no editing is required. Have to do a little brainstorming in preparation to make it look professional. Hope to have something up soon though, like maybe mid June.

In sickness and in health
We eat,we get sick,we go to the doctor,we expect a pill to make us all better. When we examine manufactured food we see additives that cause cancer, chemicals that we can't pronounce the purpose of which is often doubtful. Every hair or skin product containing more cancer causing chemicals. We actually deliberately clog our pores (our armpits) with antiperspirants then wonder why we have breast cancer! Hmmm...we are bombarded with so much unbelievable crap that when we see the truth we are sceptical, even though it is believable and true! Wow! The few that chose to investigate are considered crazy! Yes that's true but what can we do? Let's continue eating ourselves into cancer, putting it on our bodies, washing our hair with it. Confused look..."It's expensive to eat healthy. You know how much for dasheen bush? I feeling for KFC! $40 for a 2 piece and fries.". confused look...
